Before your first Hot Yoga Session

What to bring to your first class

Water Bottle

Hydrate before, during, and after class. You will sweat — staying hydrated helps you feel great.

Comfortable Clothing

Wear breathable, stretchy clothing that you can comfortably move in. Avoid anything too loose — you’ll want to feel supported and not have clothing hangin in your face.

An Open Mind

Seriously. Come ready to breathe, move, learn, and surprise yourself. The hardest part is just showing up.

The studio will provide a mat and face towel for your first session free of charge. After your first session, you can bring your own or rent from the studio for a nominal fee.

Yoga Mat

Bring your favorite mat if you have one. If not, we have mats available at the studio at a first-come, first-serve basis.

Towels

A mat towel or small hand towel helps with sweat and keeps your grip solid during poses. The studio has mat and hand/face towels available for rent.

What to expect

A Warm Welcome

From the moment you walk in, you’ll be greeted with encouragement, kindness, and zero judgment. Everyone was a beginner once — you’re in good company.

A Heated Room That Feels Amazing

Our studio is gently heated to help warm your muscles, increase flexibility, and support a deeper, safer stretch. You’ll sweat — and it will feel incredible.

Slow, Guided Instruction

Your instructor will walk you through every movement step-by-step. No experience is required. We move intentionally, focusing on breath, alignment, and listening to your body.

Supportive Hands-On and Verbal Cues

You’ll receive gentle guidance to help you get the most out of every pose. Adjustments are always optional and always respectful.

A Class That Meets You Where You Are

You can take breaks anytime. You can modify any posture. You can go at your own pace — and that is celebrated here, not judged.

Cool Aromatherapy Towels After Class

You’ll finish relaxed, refreshed, and pampered with a cool eucalyptus or lavender towel, plus time to unwind before reentering the world.

Community That Feels Like Family

Our studio is intimate and peaceful — a place to breathe, heal, and grow. You’ll connect with real people, real encouragement, and real transformation.

Faqs for first timers

 Do I need experience?

Nope! Our classes are designed for all levels. Your instructor will guide you through everything step-by-step.

How hot is the room?

Classes are held in a gently heated room designed to warm your muscles, increase mobility, and support a deeper, safer stretch. It’s warm — not overwhelming.

What if I’m not flexible?

Perfect! Yoga creates flexibility. You don’t need to touch your toes to start.

What if I need a break?

Take one! You can rest anytime in child’s pose or seated. Listening to your body is part of the practice.

What should I wear?

Comfortable, breathable, stretchy clothing. Think leggings, athletic shorts, sports bras, or fitted tops.

Can I bring water?

Yes — and you should. Hydration is key.

What should I bring?

Water, a yoga mat, a towel, and an open mind. Mats are available if you don’t have one and towels are available for rent.

How early should I arrive?

Arrive 10–15 minutes early to settle in, ask questions, and get comfortable in the room.

Is the class too hard for beginners?

Not at all. We offer modifications for every level, and you can go at your own pace the entire time.

Do you offer hands-on adjustments?

Yes — gentle, optional, and always respectful. Just let us know if you prefer verbal cues only.

What if I have injuries?

Tell your instructor before class. We’ll help you modify safely.

Can I eat before class?

Light snacks are fine. Avoid heavy meals right before class to keep your practice comfortable.

What if I feel nervous?

Totally normal! Within your first few minutes here, you’ll feel welcomed, supported, and right at home.
